Using Dropbox As CDN

We are going to use Dropbox as CDN. Dropbox is the free cloud file hosting company. It provides essential backup of your data for free. But its free subscription to 2 gb only.

Remember that dropbox is not a cdn. CDN means it will have popups all around the world, but it doesn’t have it. But its better to host certain files and images with it, since it has more power server as compared to us, it help us to keep our hosting service provider happy and in return they keep our account happy.

I am currently using dropbox for backing up my wordpress database. I also to host certain css and js files. Since it becomes really easy to minify them, and the server load is also balanced and this way your blog loads much faster and you rank higher.

Using Dropbox as CDN

Very first step is to register your account. So go to Dropbox now, and create and free account.. you will get an addition 500mb if you register with this link.. Register now. So now you have completed your registration. Now you have to download their software and install it and for it your will get reward of around 500 MB more. Now just share little about Dropbox them on twitter and Facebook and you will get addition 250 mb on completing both task. Now follow Dropbox on twitter and also speak up, why you like Dropbox and you get total of 250 mb more. So totally you have earned more than 3 gb of online cloud hosting space. ( I wish I could host my blog there, but no MySQL support , nor DNS management )

Use Dropbox as CDN for anything :

Once you have downloaded and installed the software, you will see a Dropbox icon at bottom of your screen.
