  1. the people who are still suffering from Google penguin is, its better to get rid of unwanted back links of the website. Use net peak checker and social metrics distribution. It may takes some time, but i feel its better to remove soon.

If these tools are used properly, they can throw great insights about a site. As far as, irrelevant links have really adverse effect on seo and removing them can significantly enhance seo. Disavow should be used with caution.

  5. Irrelevant links are not neccessarily bad. It’s the anchor text that is used that matters as your distribution might be off or too heavily optimized.
