We are covering a live war of hubpages vs Squidoo. Both are free article hosting services and they offer lots of other features which is incomparable to any other article hosting service. They both belongs to web2.0 and are world recognized company in their field.
In Squidoo we call article as lens and in hubpages we call it as hubs. A lens are articles which are generally focused on one particular topic or niche, but there is no such limitations. The best part of both of them is, they are do-follow and give quality back links to our blog or website. Once you write a lens you can link any keyword to your blog. But on the other hand, in hubpages you have to earn 75 points in order to get do-follow link-backs.
Both of these services also allows its users to earn little money from their lens and pages. You can either chose to donate your income or can ask to transfer to paypal. They both allows you to write article on any affiliate product, any kind of online service or just your experience. You have options to upload videos, images as an additional in hubpages. Over here we call all those rss, text and image widgets as capsules. But In Squidoo you cannot upload videos neither you can upload images for future use, and it also apply limitation to the use of tags ( just 40 per lens ) but it’s too much. Here we call the widgets as modules.

But Squidoo also give option to choose theme for lens and you can set different for different lens.
Stats and Money Making : Squidoo have two options to share your revenue. One is to get into your pocket and the other is to donate. It doesn’t allows any integration of Adsense ads additionally. They have their own account and they show their own ads. But you have full control on the advertisements. You can even allow text link ads like infolinks to get maximum profit. Making money with squid is little hard. You also get options to display amazon ads in each of your lens. Here also you don’t have to get affiliate account. You will get 50% of income.

In hubs stats are updates every 10 minutes. There is no like buttons but we have thumbs up and thumps down buttons. The more thumbs up the more your lens get popularity. But every new hub gets promoted in the latest page. It’s sure that every new page you create will get at least more than 10 views on that very first day. It also allows you to integrate Google analytic with your account. There is also rating, 1 to 100. You will get backlinks with do-follow tags only after your hub popularity on total is more than 75. To get more popularity, you have to get more visitors. This option makes every hub users to publish latest articles on regular basis since once your ranking goes below 75, do-follow will change to no- follow.
Base and Exposer : Both the platforms are very powerful. Both gets more than ten millions of pageviews every month. So it really doesn’t matter when you are just going to promote your product or when you just need backlinks. But if you are real article marketer then the difference will really affect your thoughts. Actually, you can embed all kinds of affiliate links on Squidoo — many more programs than on Hubpages. Hubpages cracks down hard if you link to other websites, often flagging affiliate links as overly promotional. Whereas on Squidoo, you can link out 9 times to the same domain on each lens, or an unlimited times to trusted sites like Amazon and Allposters.
This means that you can use affiliate links in text modules. The only restriction is that you can’t use iframes and fancy scripts. But you can use text and image links from Amazon Associates, referral links from Cafepress, Allposters and Zazzle, or affiliate links from programs like Commission Junction.
This is why it’s much, much easier to make affiliate sales with a Squidoo lens than a hubpages hub.

A few of your facts are a little off. You can embed your own affiliate links into Squidoo and you can also use videos on your lenses as well as photos. Also, being in the top 100 does not guarantee you a place on the front page. I find Squidoo easier to make money with than HubPages and I’ve been using them both for about 4 years. I prefer Squidoo if I had to choose one because I find it more user-friendly.
Yes you are very correct..I will update the post very soon. But its my experience thought that I make more with hubpages as compared to squidoo.
