So we have successfully created our new Content CDN. Follow the same steps for your website. Once you click on ” Create CDN ” button you will be shown a new page consisting of all your data field.

So accroding to this new data my data cache name is cdn.blogvkp.com and my new cname is 536425976.r.cdn77.net. Please check the futher integration steps provided below.

Setup With W3 Total cache Plugin.

First you have to subscribe for free trial or you can get your paid account. With trial account no fees, instant activations and all features enabled.

Our first and  initial step if to create CDN for your website. Create it, add any custom name like : cdn.domain.com, etc.

  • Now move to your wordpress dashboard and install W3 total cache or WP Super cache plugin.
  • I am personally using WP Super cache, but I will provide setup guide for W3, since its one of the most popular and advance plugin.
  • Install the desired plugin.

In your General setting panel in W3 cache, select the option as provided below. { Images provided by official site }.

Setup

Here we are selecting the Generic Mirror option since there is so integration support for CDN77 ( most probably it’s just 1-year-old service ).

  • Now move to the CDN panel in your setting page and fill in the desired data. Check the guide below.

Panel

Input Field

Once done, simply click on ” Save all settings ” and you will be ready to go. Make sure that you don’t select the HTTPS ( that’s SSL support ), unless you want it.

You can also check the official integration guide.

Adding CName Records.

I am personally using Hostgator and so I will be presenting the guide based on cPanel provided their hosting service.

  • Login to your cPanel account.
  • Now move to ” Simple DNS Zone Editor “.
  • Click on it, and fill the details as provided below in the image.

CDN77 Guide

  • Now finally click on ” Add CNAME Record “.
  • It usually takes from few minutes to maximum 8 hours for complete DNS propagation.
  • Once the propagation completes you will be able to use your CDN.

So this was a complete guide. I don’t think I am missing out any other feature, but still if you think I am missing out anything, then please let me know about it.

Comments

  1. Now, with only 1 enabled-pop (Prague) it’s not a real CDN!

    • It is real CDN. I have many pops enabled. You should try contact support. They always helped me, when I needed it. It could be some kind of bug.

  2. Thinking to give them a try to see how far they are best compare to maxcdn.
